About your presenter;

Jane Brincat is an occupational therapist and mother of two little people named Jemima and Romy. Prior to becoming a mother, Jane worked in the public mental health system with adolescents and youth. In this setting, Jane learnt the importance of the foundations of which a family is built. As she embarked on her journey of becoming a mother, Jane was completely blindsided by the emotional, physiological, sociological and functional changes the eperienced. From then on, Jane has furthered her professional experience in order to support mothers in their matrescense journey. Jane strongly believes that by supporting women and families in this incredibly precious and vulnerable time of life, that the health and wellbeing of their family will be improved for generations to come.

A note from our Founder, Erin Bourke

“When I found out I was pregnant the first time… I’d never changed a nappy, in fact I’d only ever held one baby for about 2 minutes and I definitely had no clue about feeding, bathing, sleeping, nor had I properly considered the changes that having a baby would have on my body, my relationship and my life as a whole.

My sister had just had a baby, but other than that I had no friends closeby with babies.
I was very excited but also very underprepared. I wish I’d had friends who were pregnant and nearby. I wish I’d taken more time to learn what happens AFTER the birth. I wish I had felt part of a community before I got thrown into my council Mums group (who I didn’t quite clique with in the end).
And so, a pregnancy support group has been on the cards for a long time here at The Hub. It’s part of our mission and I’m so excited that it’s finally here!!

We can’t wait to welcome you and your family to the Hub and we are so proud of this collaboration with The Mindful Birth Movement.
