The Parents Hub is more than just a community Hub; it’s a sanctuary for parents and caregivers in the Yarra Ranges and surrounds. We are dedicated to promoting connection, wellbeing, and development while fostering community. From facilitated playgroups to baby classes, we offer a diverse range of programs tailored to meet the needs of modern-day families. Our mission is simple: to support every family’s journey through the early years by providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where they can connect, learn, and feel supported.
As a not-for-profit organisation, we are driven by a passionate team of local Mums committed to creating a supportive community for families in our area. At The Parents Hub we believe in the power of community and the importance of building meaningful relationships to raise happy and healthy families. The Parents Hub
Our founder and CEO, Erin Bourke had a vision for a centre for Mums, parents and carers to be able to come and talk, connect and get inspired. When she had her first baby in 2016 she didn’t have many friends who had babies and it took her creating her own support groups to find her ‘village’.
She is passionate about creating a welcoming space for parents (particularly Mums) to make friends and have open conversations about the challenges of parenthood while they can also relax a little while the kids play, knowing they are safe and stimulated.
Erin is now a Mum of 4 and runs the Hub, supports women through her mentoring and has her own podcast called ‘Married to the Job’
The Parents Hub was born in 2018 and has become a much loved community hub for so many young families since.
We believe that support through prevention and awareness is key.
Our diverse offerings can help change the stigma around access to mental health support.
Everyone needs someone to talk with, have a laugh with, a shoulder to cry on and a hand to help…
The Parents Hub is managed by a Board and is also a registered Charity.
We look forward to welcoming you to the hub and hope that we can offer a service for you, no matter the age of your children.
In a time when we are more connected than ever because of social media yet feel so disconnected from each other, this space allows locals to create the relationships we need to raise happy and healthy families; we are bringing back the village!
