In 2025, we welcomed a brand-new Board for the years ahead — a huge step forward as we continued to grow, strengthen, and dream big for our community.

This was a really important milestone for us. Having a strong, passionate, values-aligned Board means we can keep creating the supportive, inclusive, modern community space our families deserve.

Amy Taylor-Kabbaz

President

Amy is a globally respected matrescence educator, speaker, and author who has spent over a decade supporting mothers through the biggest transitions of their lives.

She brings wisdom, grounding, and a deep understanding of what families truly need. Her leadership helps us stay aligned with our mission, strengthen our wellbeing programs, and continue creating a community where parents feel seen, supported, and valued.

Hollie Smith

Vice-President

Hollie has been part of The Parents Hub Board since the very beginning, bringing her passion and genuine love for community to every chapter of our journey. A mum of three and a dedicated local Kinder teacher, she deeply understands children, families, and the power of connection.

Her calm presence, practical wisdom, and big heart make her an invaluable part of our Board and our future

Jack Sedgman

Treasurer

Jack is a local builder, dad of two, and Director of Sedgmen Construction. His work is all about helping families create spaces that support connection, health and calm in daily life. As Treasurer of The Parents Hub, Jack loves that he can give back to the community that’s given so much to his own family.

Shirin Gillieron

Secretary

Shirin is a long-time supporter of The Parents Hub, first joining as a member and now giving back as our Secretary. A mum of two young children and a dedicated member of Ambulance Victoria, she brings compassion, professionalism, and a strong community spirit to everything she does.
Her connection to the Hub, both personally and professionally, makes her a grounded and thoughtful voice on our Board.

Jessica Hale-Bennett

Member

Jessica Hales Bennett is a senior communications leader with experience in health, education, and not-for-profit sectors. Taking a career pause to raise her two young children, she’s excited to bring her experience to the board and support local families.
